Born June 27, 1974 in Dallas, Texas, Chris Short, who would later take the stage name Christian Kane, moved throughout the south while growing up because of his father's work in the oil business, eventually settling into the small town of Norman, Oklahoma. After attending the University of Oklahoma, where he majored in art history, Christian headed for L.A. in his truck with only a duffel bag and his $300 life savings. He found work in the film industry as a production assistant and in the mailroom at a talent management company. While rushing to auditions between package deliveries, Christian landed the lead male role in Fame L.A., a spin-off of the hugely successful 80s movie and TV series, Fame. He went on to roles on the short-lived "Rescue 77", and in the movies EdTV and Crossfire Trail. An accomplished country music performer, Christian enjoys writing, performing, and recording country music when not acting. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
